From the largest distillery in Oaxana, Casa Armando Guillermo Prieto (AGP), comes a mezcal to us that stands out in both quality and taste. It matures for nine months in American oak barrels until it reaches its perfect aroma. The special thing about the production is that the agaves are not roasted as usual but boiled.
Taste
Despite the absence of roasting, a slightly smoky flavor can be detected in this mezcal. Furthermore, the cooked agave brings a delicate and fruity aroma. Notes of raisins, bananas and vanilla make up the taste experience of the Zignum Reposados.
