Whitley Neill Small Batch Gin 1.0L (43% Vol.)
Whitley Neill Gin
Whitley Neill has been delighting gin lovers since 2005 with this gin with the special African touch. The black 1-litre bottle conceals a sweetish and fruity gin, which is smooth and balanced and can be used in many ways due to its great aroma.
Production - handcrafted
In 2005 this sweet and fruity gin was produced for the first time. The result is a restrained and well balanced gin. Whitley Neill still produces in the Copper Pot style, as it did over a hundred years ago. Whitley Neill Gin gets its speciality from the water from Liverpool and the other ingredients, some of which come from Africa. It is perfect for drinks like the cocktail Matinez or a martini.
Botanicals - a balanced mixture
The smell suggests lemon and one expects an earthy taste. Besides the water from Liverpool, oils and herbs are used. To ensure that the oils dissolve well, the water is added before distillation. One tastes orange and coriander. In addition, there are African substances that cannot be tasted individually, but which round off the taste perfectly. The Whitley Neill Gin comes from Liverpool in Great Britain and has 43% Vol.
Sustainability:
Whitley Neill donates five percent of the profit to the organisation TREE AID, which helps poor people in Africa.
Serving recommendation:
The lemony scent already promises an aromatic drink. It tastes sweetish and has a distinct fruity note. It is a dry gin, which is versatile due to its aroma. Of course it tastes excellent when enjoyed pure, preferably with ice cubes so that it does not get too warm, which would have a negative effect on the aromas. It is perfect for a simple drink, for example one to one mixed with tonic on ice. Together with sweet vermouth, Maraschino and Angostura Bitters a delicious Martinez cocktail. Or with dry vermouth and a green olive as a martini. The possibilities are endless, the unique taste will provide many ideas.
