Tomatin 18 YO 0.7L (46% Vol.)
Tomatin 18 YO
There were times when the Tomatin distillery was the largest single malt distillery in Scotland. Whisky was produced in 23 stills for general enjoyment. But these times are over. Today the Tomatin distillery relies on smaller and therefore all the more high-quality and sophisticated bottlings - such as the Tomatin 18 years. This fine drop matures 18 years and gets a two-and-a-half-year finish in sherry casks to make the taste experience perfect. Tomatin 18 years is bottled at 46% vol. and served in an elegant 0.7L bottle.
Aroma and taste
Once Tomatin 18 is in the glass, sweet sherry notes rise directly from the glass. These are accompanied by fully ripe apples, cinnamon and spicy vanilla. A typical Scottish, but truly discreet smoke aroma rounds off the Nosing.
The sweet impression of the Single Malt Whisky continues on the tongue. Sherry nuances are balanced by fine honey and rich oak provides a skillful contrast. This is followed by citrus fruits and a hint of dark chocolate.
Finish
In the aftertaste, Tomatin 18 is long and dry. Here the finishing in sherry casks comes to the fore once more and brings sweet tips with it. Discreet aromas of oak round off the aftertaste once more.
