Togouchi 9YO 0.7L (40% Vol.)
Togouchi 9 YO
Togouchi 9 years is a Japanese Blended Whisky - a mixture of different distillates. Whiskies from Japan are no longer a rarity nowadays, but if the Whisky tastes like smoke, it's a specialty.
Manufacturer
Togouchi 9 YO is manufactured on the island of Honshu near Hiroshima. Originally the distillery Chugoku Jozo only produced sake, the brandy Shochu and fruit liqueurs - since 1918. Since 1990, Japanese Blended Whiskies are part of the manufacturing. The distillate for the grain whisky comes from Canada and the malt distillate is imported from Scotland.
Aroma, taste and finish
The nosing is extremely intense and dominated by fruity aromas and sweet spices. On the palate, the Togouchi 9 YO is mild and dry with accents of lemons, oranges and spices. The aftertaste is pleasantly long and presents the predominant notes and complements them with a little peat smoke.
Togouchi 9 YO - special storage
Basement or hall? The 9-year-old Togouchi is mainly allowed to store in a completely special environment: in a railway tunnel that was never put into operation. If you are looking for something special in the whisky market, the Japanese Blended Whisky "Togouchi" is just the thing for you.
