Production

This extraordinary whisky is produced on the Japanese island of Honshu. Water is used for this, which comes from the nearby Mount Daisen. This used to be a volcano and its ashes are still used to filter the Kurayoshi Japanese Pure Malt Whisky. The whisky also owes its aroma to the 3-year aging in ex-bourbon white oak casks.
