Tanqueray Malacca Gin 1.0L (41.3% Vol.)
This gin was originally launched in 1997. The Malacca has been created based on the innovative recipe from Charles Tanqueray, the founder of the worldwide famous brand. The name is derived from the Malay Peninsula and the Indonesian island of Sumatra, both places the founder of Tanqueray visited on his travels along the South East Asian Spice Route.
The Malacca had been introduced to the market as an alternative to the stronger Tanqueray London Dry. While bartenders appreciated the Malacca a lot, there hasn't been a sufficient demand for the gin in the early 2000s. This is also why the brand stopped the production of the Malacca and focused on the marketing of their other products.
10 years later Tanqueray decided to re-launch the gin with one of the most exclusive recipes of all gins.
