Redbreast 12YO 0.7L (40% Vol.) with GB
Redbreast 12YO
The name of this single malt whiskey is inspired by the robin - a bird known for its red-feathered chest. Especially in winter these birds like to settle in Ireland and inspire the distillery Midleton - one of the biggest distilleries in Ireland. This inspiration was the basis for this single pot still whiskey, which inspires with a lot of spice and fruit.
Cask selection
Redbreast is stored for 12 years in Bourbon and Oloroso barrels (sherry). The malt whiskey, made from malted and unmalted barley, also acquires its colour, unmistakable taste and magnificent aroma.
Nosing
The pleasure is introduced by a magnificent symphony of fragrances. Spicy and fruity tones unite with a hint of oak. The aroma is rounded off with sweet sherry nuances.
Taste
The taste shows oak clearly, which is accompanied by a lot of spices. The palate recognizes harmonious tones of sherry, some pepper and malt. The Irish Whiskey is particularly round and soft on the tongue and leaves a lasting impression.
Finish
The spice found in the taste and aroma is also reflected in the finish. Framed by a long-lasting finish, the last sounds of oak and caramel say goodbye to the tongue.
