Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2004 Magnum 1.5L (12.5%)
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque is one of the world's most renowned prestige cuvées. Composed of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and 5% Pinot Meunier, this elegant cuvée offers a floral bouquet that is hinted at in the artwork of Belle Epoque's unique bottle decorated with anemones's artwork, designed by Emile Gallé in 1902.
On the nose, spicy citrus and pit fruits are complicated by ginger, toasted, grain and a touch of honey. On the palate, pear, peach, and pineapple flavours evolve to reveal a touch of spice. All the lightness of white floral notes: hawthorn blossom, linden blossom and white clover. A fresh, stylish wine with good structure, silky and elegant, based on the mineral notes of the best Chardonnay Grand Crus. The floral, fruity notes give way to subtle spicy hints for a pleasant finish on the palate.
