Nosing

The opening of the Oban 14 YO bottle is already a highlight. There are fruits, especially lemon and peach, which are combined with soft smoke and subtle floral notes. The variety of aromas is already wonderful in the nose. The nosing is refined by a little salt.

Taste

On the tongue Oban 14 YO shows why he is so famous - he is full-bodied, soft and extremely fruity, at least at the beginning. On the palate, there is also some smoke besides the dominant vanilla and peach notes. The Whisky gets its special charm from a pinch of pepper and a little trip to the sea. Maritime notes are giving a special touch on the palate.

Finish

The 14 year old Oban inspires to the end. In the delicate finale he shows himself once again spicy-sweet. Again fruits unite with soft smoke and wood notes. In addition there are sweet hints of oak wood, which accompany the long finale of the Highland Single Malt Whisky.
