Milagro Tequila Añejo 0.7L (40% Vol.)
Milagro Añejo is a smooth, spicy aged tequila made from 100% estate-grown blue agave. It has been aged for between fourteen and twenty-four months in American oak barrels, to impart a rich, woody flavour on top of its caramel and coconut notes. It has a pale amber colour and a rich, oaky smell which balances the sweet and spicy taste. The Añejo was awarded a gold medal in the 2014 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and both a gold medal and a best of class award in 2014 the Spirits of Mexico Competition.
This tequila is made from agave hearts which are roasted for 36 hours in brick ovens, made from the same volcanic Jalisco soil that the agave is grown in. This traditional slow cooking process brings out all the sweet flavours of the agave to make the most of the locally grown ingredients. It is triple distilled using both a pot still and a column still for ultimate smoothness, and then gently aged for a rich flavour. The result is an Añejo tequila which is delicious either for sipping of for mixing into cocktails.
