Mampe Halb & Halb 0.7L (31% Vol.)
Mampe Halb & Halb (engl. half & half) is a bitter liqueur, traditionally made from herbs and bitter oranges. It is half bitter and half sweet, which gives the spirit its name. Originally, Halb & Halb was brewed as a remedy for cholera from various herbs and schnapps back in 1831 and sold in pharmacies. Today, Halb & Halb is made from bitter oranges.
Mampe has a long history in Berlin, the company was founded in 1831. At the beginning, Mampe was invented as a medicine, over the time, Mampe made a lot of different spirits. Mampe is considered the oldest spirits brand in Berlin and is housed in a former brewery in Bergmannkiez in Kreuzberg.
