Laurent-Perrier Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature 0,75L (12% Vol.)
Laurent-Perrier Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature 0.75 liter (12% vol.)
Are you looking for a very dry champagne (12% vol.) as an aperitif or to accompany food? This cuvée of the best Chardonnays unfolds its sophistication in combination with spicy starters, sweet desserts or, due to its straightforward dryness, with fish, poultry or seafood.
Aroma and appearance
This elegant dry champagne (0.75 liters) has a white color with light golden reflections and a persistent, fine perlage. The nose initially reveals mineral aromas with citrus fruits. The bouquet is also very fresh and reminiscent of meadow herbs and eucalyptus.
Palate
On the palate, the Blanc de Blancs is very lively and very dry, as befits a Brut. Fruity and juicy aromas of exotic green and white fruits, such as grapefruit, are balanced with a well-balanced acidity. The taste is rounded off with floral notes and sour apple.
The rather dry finish reveals subtle notes of salted caramel.
Production
This champagne is very much in the tradition of the Laurent-Perrier style, as it is made almost exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. The grapes come from the growing regions: Côte des Blancs (Avize, Cramant, Oiry and Chouilly) and Montagne de Reims (Tours-sur-Marne, Villers-Marmery and Rilly La Montagne).
The term "Blanc de Blancs" translates as "white wine made from white grapes" and explains the production of a sparkling wine made almost exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, especially for champagne. After a period of maturation, Laurent Perrier champagne is disgorged without the addition of dosage and remains in the cellar for a further period before being tasted.
Laurent-Perrier
Laurent-Perrier is one of the best-known French sparkling wine producers from the Champagne region. Bernard Nonancourt coined the Laurent-Perrier style in the 1950s. He wanted to add an elegant aperitif mood to the Laurent-Perrier champagnes. He achieved this by adding ever greater proportions of Chardonnay. To this day, a Laurent-Perrier champagne can be recognized by its complex character: citrus fruits, aromas of white fruits, plus notes of toast and cake - a surprising combination of freshness and directness.
