History

The history of Laphroaig Lore takes us back 200 years ago to the island of Islay, where two brothers wanted to create a particularly rich single malt whiskey. It all began with the storage of whiskey in ex-Bourbon casks. To give the whiskey a very personal touch, the barley malt was dried at low temperature and barrels of different sizes were used for storage. Today, the Laphroaig Lore combines all this distilling history in just one bottle.

Taste

The mixture of four different types of casks gives the Single Malt Whiskey its unique versatile taste. A sip of the Laphroaig Lore takes you on a journey that begins with heavy smoke, pepper and a little ash, then spicy and peaty with a spicy chilli flavour and a sweet aftertaste of vanilla and roasted chestnuts.

Serving suggestion

The Laphroaig Lore is simply unique with its rich flavour and wide range of flavours. To bring out also the fruity flavour of the single malt whiskey, it is best to mix it with a little water. This way the rich whiskey can also convince lovers of the softer and milder taste.
