Krug Grande Cuvée with GP
The Krug Champagne House
Every year, the Krug Champagne House produces a wonderfully unique edition of the Grand Cuvée. This success story began with the dream of the founder Johann-Josef Krug, who moved to Paris to enter the champagne business. From childhood on, he learned the winemaking craft in his home region, the Moselle region, to finally bring champagne to the market every year, which is more a work of art than a drink. Because more quality and taste in champagne is almost impossible.
Production
The Grande Cuvée is the result of the marriage of 120 wines from more than 10 different ages and is then matured for six years in Mr. Krugs own wine cellar. For the production Johann-Josef Krug has a large reservoir of wines, which he stores separately. This is how the finest and most elegant champagne that France has to offer is finally created.
This year's Grand Cuvée
The Grand Cuvée of this year also inspires with its very own extraordinary taste components. On the nose, one is first pampered with the hearty aromas of toast, spicy almonds and candied fruit. If you then take a sip of this noble drink, a floral freshness makes the beginning of the taste. This is then complemented by spicy almonds and a hint of honey and butter cookies. The result is a round taste experience that inspires every champagne fan.
