Glenkinchie 12 YO is presented in a light, golden brown colour and in an elegant 0.7L bottle. The Single Malt is one of the last representatives of the Scottish Lowlands and inspires, completely in Lowland manner, with a typically mild note and a fine oak aroma.
Glenkinchie 12 replaces the previous 10-year-old whisky of the distillery and is part of the Classic Malts of Scotland family.

Aroma

The first olfactory impression is as soft as it is complex: strong malt rises into the nose and forms a wonderful alliance with citrus fruits and floral aromas. Fine vanilla, which is accompanied by subtle heather, creates a spicy balance.

Flavor

At the latest on the palate it shows how well Glenkinchie 12 has benefited from the two additional years of maturation in oak casks. It has more fullness than its forerunner and greets you with a wonderful creaminess. The light body is interspersed with ripe fruit aromas, skillfully balanced by spicy malt and caramel. Fine vanilla and heather can also be experienced here.

Finish

The two additional years of ageing also thank you in the finish with freshness and a skilful combination of malt, spices and fruits. The freshness is particularly exciting, penetrating the palate and reminiscent of grain and fresh grass. The finish is of medium length and slightly dry.
