Glengoyne 12 is known to be the "cozy" one - both in terms of its ripening and taste. The Single Malt matures for 12 years in sherry and bourbon casks from the Highland distillery, which are placed in traditional warehouses with clay soils. This gives Glengoyne 12 a special depth and complexity. The cask selection consists of 40 % first fill casks and 60 % refill oak casks.
Glengoyne 12, whose colour is reminiscent of natural and rich gold, is served in a beautifully shaped 0.7L bottle.
Aroma and taste
In the nose, Glengoyne 12 years inspires with a persistent sweetness, which is accompanied by fruity notes, discreet honey and grated lemon peel. In addition, there are spicy peaks that wonderfully round off the usually sweet-fruity aroma composition. On the palate, the sweetness and fruit of the single malt dominate again. Wonderful elements are brought in by caramel, but also orange and candied apple present themselves. Spices like ginger and a touch of shortbread balance the taste on the tongue. In addition, there are fine nuances of grass and a little stronger tones of oak, which make the taste experience perfect.

The finish of the Glengoyne 12 YO is medium long and balanced. The twelve-year ripening can be seen here. The single malt whisky is provided with soft sherry and oak notes, which form a wonderful contrast to the nuances of cinnamon.
