Method

As it is proper for a malt whisky, Glen Scotia 15 is distilled in copper stills. Once the distillate is ready to mature, it continues to rest in ex-Bourbon barrels for 15 years. This is how this marvellous Scotch product is made.

Nosing

The nose feels a rather sweet scent, which is decorated with fruity notes. These include hints of citrus peel and apricot. Ageing in oak barrels also contributes to the aroma. Those who deepen their acquaintance with the aroma of Glen Scotia 15YO will also recognize traces of caramel, crème brûlée and ginger biscuits.

Flavor

Glen Scotia behaves particularly complex on the palate and has a dry character. While tasting, tones of caramelized fruits, oak and caramel reveal themselves to the tongue. An elegant spice accompanies the tasting and rounds off the taste.

Finish

The farewell of Glen Scotia 15YO whisky presents isolated traces of coffee and chocolate. A pleasant sweetness envelops the palate during the medium long finish.
