History

At just 25 years old, James Grant, also known as "The Major", took over the Glen Grant Distillery in Rothes Speyside. It wasn't long before it became apparent that he was more than up to the challenge. With his skill and foresight, he managed to carry on the distillery with honour and bring some unique whiskies to the market. These are characterised above all by the fresh and malty taste, which is due to his introduction of very slim stills. In the meantime, the distillery has changed hands more often, but the traditional recipe from 1840 has remained until today. Even today, the whiskies of the Glen Grant Distillery still convince with their unique freshness. This is also true of their latest bottling: Glen Grant Major's Reserve Scotch Malt Whisky.

A light whisky

The Glen Grant Major's Reserve Scotch Malt Whisky brings two special features at the same time. Firstly, it is the only Scotch whisky named after its producer and secondly, it is considered the mildest and lightest in Grant Major's range. With only 10 years of maturation, it is also the youngest whisky that Grand Major has to offer. Its ageing in oak casks gives it a delicate woody flavour. Its mildness and lightness make it perfect to enjoy in mixed drinks such as whisky cola.

Taste

The Glen Grant Major's Reserve Scotch Malt Whisky presents itself in a seductive golden hue. Open the bottle and the whisky fills the room with an equally seductive aroma. But the Glen Grant Major's Reserve Scotch Malt Whisky also has a lot to offer in terms of taste. It is mainly characterised by a velvety fruity apple note. Added to this are sounds of hay, almonds and oak, until it finally says goodbye with a nutty finish.
