Casks

Whiskies are traditionally stored in ex-Bourbon or sherry barrels. This is not the case with Glen Garioch Virgin Oak No.2, which is stored in freshly toasted white oak barrels. The result is a unique product with an unmistakable bouquet.

Aroma

During the nosing, Glen Garioch Virgin Oak No.2 reminds of Bourbon with subtle tones. By burning out the barrels from the inside, the product takes on notes of oak and vanilla while maturing. Traces of pralines, coconut, almond liqueur, caramel sweets spoil the sense of smell.

Flavor

The tongue receives a wide range of impressions. The tasting begins with a selection of tones including dates, heather honey, chestnuts, coconut and cedar wood. Additionally hints of pecan nuts and black pepper deepen and round off the taste. The aftertaste of Glen Garioch Virgin Oak No.2 is a long-lasting and creamy pleasure. The single malt whisky reveals last notes of Christmas spices and fruits - including baked apples, cinnamon and vanilla.
