Edradour 12 YO Caledonia 0.7L (46% Vol.)
Edradour 12 YO Caledonia is a special edition of the distillery, which is the smallest of its kind in Scotland. The bottle pays tribute to the folk hit "Caledonia" by Scottish singer Douglas McLean. The single malt whisky spends its first years maturing in old bourbon casks until it goes into old Oloroso sherry casks for a finishing touch. Its nose is characterised by different honey varieties as well as dates, sherry, dried figs, and a trace of oak. The palate is dominated again by honey and sherry, which are accompanied by berry fruits, caramel, buttered toast and toasted almonds. The finish is slightly spicy with a hint of cocoa. Before tasting, the single malt should breathe for a few days or weeks after opening.
