The Cardhu distillery relies on double maturation during the creation of Cardhu Amber Rock. Two different barrels of American oak are used for this purpose. It is not known how long the Speyside Whisky spent in the barrels. But the result is satisfying. Cardhu Amber Rock has more spice than other Single Malts from the Speyside distillery.

Aroma and taste

In particular the vanilla is already noticeable when the bottle is opened. Complemented by honey and caramel, Cardhu Amber Rock already presents itself elegantly during the nosing. The spicy aroma unites with sweet fruits in the nose. The nosing ist rounded off by chocolate.

This single malt whisky from the Cardhu Destillery lies softly on the tongue at the first sip and immediately reveals a sweet fruity character. In great harmony with spicy notes and hints of oak wood, the result is a fascinating composition of flavors. That it finally ends long and creamy-sweet and once again presents spicy tips fits in the complex character of this Single Malt.
