Already while pouring the whisky into the glass it shows impressive and intense aromas with a strong fruity dominance. Pineapple, berries and pears are easy to recognize and show that Cardhu 18 YO is mainly fruity and sweet.

Flavor

The first sip of this extraordinary scotch whisky is not as intense as its aroma during the nosing. Yet it shows power and reveals proudly its fruity notes. Cardhu 18 shows a present sweetness and lays softly on the tongue. Hints of pears make themselves noticeable and melt on the palate with exquisite apple aromas. Finally, the fruity notes fade away and turn into chocolate and wood notes. Final hints of spice takes the tasting experience to a particularly exciting moment of enjoyment.

Finish

The finish is long and dry. Nevertheless, the 18-year-old whisky also shows his soft side during its finish. Cocoa notes round off the taste in an optimal way.
