Caol Ila 18 YO Scotch Whisky 0.7L (43% Vol.)
The single malt is matured for 18 years in the Caol Ila distillery on the island of Islay. The prolonged maturation removes the smokiness from the Scotch and makes it softer. Caol Ila 18 YO still gives off wonderful hints of peat smoke in the nose. These are tamed by traces of liquorice and vanilla. The palate is very soft and creamy with warm nuances of almonds and vanilla as well as surprising fruity influences of pineapple and grapefruit. However, peat smoke and rye also predominate here. The finish is pleasantly long and peppered with herbs, soft peat and juicy oily wood.
