Nosing

Ardbeg An Oa reveals its particularly noble combination already with its yellow-golden color. While nosing, it presents an abundance of aromas that beautifully accentuate the interplay of the individual components. Light leather and peat notes meets toffee and are rounded off by sweet fruits.

Flavor

This wonderful impression continues in the taste. On the palate it is soft and creamy. A playful sweetness, reminiscent of chocolate and oranges, meets smoke and spices like nutmeg. Ardbeg An Oa is on the one hand playful, on the other hand extremely gentle and shows why it is an ideal addition to the core range of the distillery, which has remained unchanged for over a decade.

Finish

The fact that it is an original Islay single malt is also evident in the finish. Ardbeg An Oa has a long lasting effect and always remains powerful. Also the exciting combination of sweet notes and a smoky, strong side shows up here.

Storage

The unique whisky is aged and matured in former Pedro Ximénez barrels as well as bourbon and oak barrels.
