Specialties

Compared to the younger bottlings of the Knockdhu distillery, storage was not exclusively in former Bourbon casks. AnCnoc 18 YO also spent some time in sherry casks and thus gets a very special touch.

Nosing

The fact that this is a very elegant whisky can already be realized in the nose. Poured into the tasting glass, intense sweet aromas immediately occupy the room. Enriched with mild spices, the first impression already inspires. White chocolate, some fruity orange and a hint of leather appear.

Flavor

With 46 % vol. AnCnoc 18 YO is an intense Single Malt. However, its full-bodied character is just as characteristic as its spicy sweetness, which can also be found on the tongue. The fruity notes come out a little stronger on the palate and give the composition another exciting facet. There are spices, candied lemons as well as honey and toffee.

Finish

AnCnoc 18 YO also show that elegance comes with age in the finish as well. The finish is long and again plays out the different strengths of the single malt. The Scotch shows itself again spicy-sweet, shows pepper at first, in order to complete then creamy-sweetly.
