Akashi White Oak Blended Whisky 0.5L (40% Vol.)
Akashi White Oak Blended Whisky is a whisky blend originating from the White Oak distillery in the town of Akashi, which is located in the Japanese prefecture Hyōgo. The town is in the proximity of the city of Kōbe, famous for its beef. The amazing whisky blend might not be as well-known as Kōbe beef, but it definitely contributes to making savourers aware of Japanese whisky.
Akashi White Oak Blended Whisky is based on 30% malt whisky and 70% grain whisky. The blend spends three years within bourbon casks and two further years in barrels made of Japanese oak. It's manufactured following the Scottish example, but it is actually rather similar to bourbon whiskey taste-wise. Look forward to detecting some delicious hints of honey, fruits and grain in the nose. The palate is amazingly creamy, slightly spicy and yet fruity thanks to aromas of raisins, malt, camomile and sherry. The finish is very long, lasting and once more a little bit fruity.
